CodeCracker’s self-titled debut album is the soundtrack to the doomsday scenario presaged by the world’s leading futurologists. The band’s membership is exclusively comprised of the multiple personalities of singer/songwriter JJ Brine, who states that “The first CodeCracker album further develops the narrative that I began when I authored the Torah, the Bible, and the Qu’ran – three of my most notable works to date.”

CodeCracker’s distinctive “electronic esoterica” sound has led to comparisons with EBM legends Front 242 and VNV Nation, and has been most memorably billed as “Nico Päffgen’s male reincarnation singing a dance-friendly funereal chant to Depeche Mode circa 2027.” Brine maintains that such characterizations “…fail to grasp the divine hand that has guided [him], much like a ventriloquist, from start to finish.” When asked to discuss the significance of “code”, Brine is evasive. “Every story has its own code, right?
